Abstract Rainfall infiltration in unsaturated soil slopes is a classic issue geotechnical engineering (Conte and Troncone Géotechnique 62:87–91, 2012; Morbidelli et al. J Hydrol 557:878–886, 2018). Factors influencing the slope stability due to rainwater comprise rainfall characteristics, saturated permeability coefficient, geometry of slope, boundary initial moisture conditions (Ali Comput Geotech 61:341–354, 2014; Wu Hydro-mechanical analysis rainfall-induced landslides. Springer, 2020).
